THE HOOD

The downtown Decatur food scene just got a whole lot comfier.  FolkArt began our mission of offering a fresh spin on classic diner fare in historic Inman Park in 2013. Now we’ve brought our legendary secret recipe for breakfasty/brunchy/lunchy goodness (offered any time of day) to the heart of downtown Decatur.  Serving up fresh takes on Southern classics and presenting good ole comfort food as an approachable, yet indulgent “anytime” option, we’ve won a loyal neighborhood clientele in Inman Park.  With the opening of our second location in Decatur, we’re looking forward to creating the same welcome, all-inclusive atmosphere for a brand new neighborhood.  Worry not, hungry citizens, FolkArt Decatur is conveniently located near some of our closest friends and family over in Avondale Estates, Oakhurst, Druid Hills, and Emory.  Did we mention that we actually call Decatur home?  That’s right, we’re basically just around the corner...no matter where you call home.

THE FOOD

FolkArt first-timers are always in for a treat and our FolkArt regulars are well aware of the yummy goodness awaiting them inside our cozy interior.  At FolkArt Decatur we carry on the FolkArt Inman Park tradition; offering up the popular, mouth-watering dishes that made us “Triple-D-Famous”.  That’s Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives...for the uninitiated.

Breakfast kicks off with classics like the Sweet Potato Beignets, Huevos Rancheros, or Steak & Eggs.  Heck, we’ve got vegetarian options galore, if that’s your jam.  The menu is long and your choices are virtually limitless.  Benedicts, pancakes, biscuits, omelets, French toast, waffles...and, what’s that?...an entire section dedicated to hash browns?  You know it!  We take our breakfast seriously and we know you’re going to love it.  Bonus.  Come and get it...all...dang...day.

Lunch?  You need something to get you through the middle of your day and we’ve got you covered. Our “Bad to the Bone” roasted pork shoulder sammy nearly knocked Guy Fieri over and we know you’ll love it too.  It’s a Sunday and you need a chicken sandwich fix?  Our pleasure.  Try our “Fried Chicken Sandwich with collards” (another Guy favorite) and you’ll forsake all others.  Burgers? Soups?  Salads?  Check.  Check.  Check.

Dinner time and you need to feed your hungry family? You know we’re a family-friendly, neighborhood joint for a reason, right?  We’ve got kids and busy schedules too and that’s why we’ll always be your peaceful oasis in the middle of your crazy week.  Bonus.  We’ll do all the dishes too!  From a light salad to keep you going, to a satisfying entree to fuel your hungry athlete, and everything in between, we’ve got something to please even the pickiest eaters.  Think you’ve had a good meatball sub?  Well, not unless you’ve had ours...which Guy Fieri called “freaking amazing” and a “one-way ticket to Flavortown”.  We’ve got an endless variety of home-cooked goodness waiting for you to sample so prepare to call yourself a FolkArt Decatur regular.

Did we mention our full bar and impressive collection of craft beers?  No?  Well, now who’s thirsty?  You’ve just discovered the perfect place to sip one of our signature cocktails or savor a seasonal local brew while you unwind with co-workers after the daily grind.

THE PLACE

A little bit funky, a dash of super-stylish and just the right touch of warm, welcoming coziness is what you feel when you walk through the Folkart Decatur doors.  You’ll get the sense you’ve stepped into your favorite childhood diner, only its been upgraded with timeless wood and tile accents and an effortlessly curated, killer art collection.  It’s like you’ve been coming here your entire life...it’s both welcoming and relaxing... and that feeling seeps into the entire FolkArt dining experience.

Disarmingly familiar, delectably satisfying.  Folk Art really does have something fun for everyone.
